GrassRoots TV12 community television encourages local residents to create relevant community-oriented programming by providing professional station management, technical assistance and production training. On-air participants universally report considerable community response to their appearance on GrassRoots TV12, and virtually all programs have devoted local audiences. GrassRoots TV12 reaches 10,000 cable subscribers or 30,000 local residents plus virtually all 20,000 visitor pillows in Aspen, Snowmass Village, Woody Creek, Basalt, El Jebel and the mid-valley as far as The Ranch at Roaring Fork in Carbondale.

Non-profit television production requires substantial investment by the community at large.
