GrassRoots TV Community Studio
THIS STUDIO IS A COMMONS. It belongs to all the people who use it and support it. This is a safe space to experiment with ideas, nurture freedom and strengthen community.
The GrassRoots TV Community Studio is one of the most productive television studios in the United States. Local residents and their guests have created over 2,500 programs in this studio over the past 10 years.
For only $125 any local citizen or organization receives all the support needed to create a half hour studio television program:
| • | Turnkey studio with lighting and sets; |
| • | Three Broadcast cameras and up to 8 microphones; |
| • | Eight input integrated switcher with broadcast quality graphics and sound mixer; |
| • | Simultaneous recording to DVD, MP2 broadcast server and MP4 web cast server; |
| • | Director and camera operator; |
| • | Five airtime's on Comcast cable and web cast on grassrootstv.org; |
| • | Indefinite Video On Demand via GrassRoots Video Now |
In 2009 we completed the first phase of retiring an aging, analogue, standard definition TV studio. When finished in 2012, the expanded and upgraded studio will retain its inviting small town feel while at the same time provide our community with access to an all-digital industry standard, multi-camera, omni-platform HD video and web content production facility.
