GrassRoots Television's Access Policy

The mission of GrassRoots Community TV is to protect and nurture open channels of communication for the residents of the Roaring Fork Valley Following are GrassRoots TV’s access and content policies:
    1. Pitkin County residents and individuals, firms or organizations sponsored by Pitkin County residents are allowed to produce or provide programming for GrassRoots TV Channel 12. Access may be extended to other Roaring Fork Valley Residents at staff discretion.

    2. To use production facilities or equipment, nominal published rental fees must be paid. Programs produced using GrassRoots facilities or equipment will be aired on GrassRoots TV. Rental fees include the minimum two airings. Regularly and currently produced series are encouraged and will receive airtime priority and a regular schedule.

    3. Content should be within the norms of community behavior, and be lawful in the State of Colorado. Citizens are asked to not make calls for action intended for personal financial, business or political benefit, and to not make unsubstantiated claims for such benefit.

    4. No programs will be aired that espouse hatred.

    5. Pre-recorded programs that meet FCC broadcast technical standards will be aired twice at no charge, at available, non-guaranteed times.

    6. To air a pre-recorded program (produced at GrassRoots TV or elsewhere) more than twice, or on a guaranteed time, a small programming fee, based on published “Regularly Scheduled Programming Fees” is required.
