Winter season 2006-2007

Entering our third winter season, The Locals’ Show (TLS) will continue as a 30 minute weekly talk show, focusing on current local issues and events and featuring inspirational, entertaining local guests. The Local’s Show on Aspen’s Grassroots TV12  is produced and hosted by long time local media personality Erik Skarvan* and broadcast a minimum of five times per week. According to a recent scientific telephone survey; our show scored a 6% rating, translating into about 1,000 Comcast viewers between Aspen and El Jebel. Currently TLS is the 3rd most watched show on Grassroots TV, Aspen’s most watched community station, founded in 1971. TLS won the Grassie Award for the “Best New Show”, which was voted on by readers of the Aspen Daily News. A sampling of our dynamic and diverse guests include local entrepreneurs; Kevin Doyle of Woody Creek Cellars and Susan Kosch of Hairbrainz, Aspen legends; Klaus Obermeyer and Mac Smith, politicos Rachel Richards, Torre and Jack Johnson, ASC Mountain Managers Ron Chauner and Peter King and Olympians Gretchen Bleiler, Chris Klug and Casey Puckett.  We believe our valley locals are the celebrities, locals who inspire other locals to step up and pursue their own goals and dreams.
