GRASSROOTS TV 12 IS SERIOUS ABOUT LOCAL SPORTS

ASPEN, CO -- GrassRoots TV 12, free range television growing wild since 1971, is pleased to announce its fall schedule includes all day coverage of local sports every Saturday from 6am to 1am the following Sunday, and after-school Mondaythrough Friday, 3:00 to 4:30pm. Tuesday Night Football, featuring a high school sports football game of the week, will air every Tuesday at 7pm.

According to Corby Anderson, executive producer at GrassRoots TV 12, “We have an unprecedented level of support from the community to cover their local sporting events. Hundreds of local students are involved in high school athletics. Coverage and sponsorship of these events show the student athletes that the community appreciates their team and individual efforts. This year we will film and air over 100 sporting events in and around the valley, and even some playoffs from all over Colorado. GrassRoots is committed to providing original local programming created by and for the community. Thanks very much to our generous and devoted sponsors for encouraging us to do it, as well as our many amazing volunteer sportscasters, and all of the various athletic directors and administrators from the different teams – without all of them, these productions would not happen.”

The Saturday line-up will include coverage of high school football, volleyball, and soccer with emphasis on soccer and volleyball in the after-school time slot and football on Tuesday nights. GrassRoots TV 12 is also committed to covering other youth and adult club sporting events that will re-air during the entire schedule, but especially on Sports Saturday. Coverage of the recent Ruggerfest tournament will begin airing next week.
